Trying something new for today’s newsletter: Keeping it short and sweet and sharing the betting splits that I normally give out on Twitter (and also remembering to wait to publish until after I’ve had a cup of coffee). Unders were a remarkable 26-6 in the first two weeks of the preseason, and the vast majority of the wagers at DraftKings on 15 of the 16 Week 3 NFL preseason games were on the Under.
So, what happened on Thursday night?
The Chicago Bears (-3) beat the Kansas City Chiefs 34-21, going over the total of 32.5 by themselves, and the Indianapolis Colts (-7) defeated the Cincinnati Bengals 27-14 — which sent that game over the total of 34. Favorites and overs went 2-0. The sportsbooks always adjust … so don’t blindly bet a trend. After all, the highest total on the board this weekend is 37.5.
On a different note, I truly appreciate everyone who has signed up in the past few days, as we’re getting close to 1,500 subscribers — a number that far exceeds my expectations from back when I started earlier this year.
