A TON of best bets gathered from respected handicappers, plus info from sportsbooks
Week 4 of the college football season has arrived.
I’ll keep it brief, since we know you’ve all come here for the picks.
A few important updates from Joe Brennan, who runs Prime Sports, a sportsbook known to cater to sharp bettors. Check it out if you’re in Ohio or New Jersey. Here’s an update from Joe after talking to his trading team:
Smart money loves:
Michigan State +5
Washington -12
UL Lafayette +2
Texas Tech -3.5
Smart money disagrees on:
UCLA vs LSU: “Lot of sharp money on both sides, but sharp money is 3:1 on UCLA +21.5 vs. LSU”
Liberty vs East Carolina: ““This is just a game of sharps betting against each other as nobody else could care less. Sharp Money is 65% on Liberty. I dare you to name either teams mascot without using your Google machine.
Tulsa vs La Tech.: “60% of the money on Tulsa, but recreational bettors love La. Tech. Is this game on TV or something?”

Featured Week 4 CFB best bet
Kyle Hunter is a great college football handicapper and worth a follow. You can check out all of his stuff, including his newsletter, here. He was kind enough to write up one of his picks for this weekend for me:
Hunter: I want to keep this one very simple. Penn State was embarrassed by its scare against Bowling Green two weeks ago and had a bye week to think about it. James Franklin is more willing to run up the score against these nonconference teams than anyone.
Kent State is allowing 7.48 yards per play and its last opponent (Tennessee) had 65 points at halftime last week. Pittsburgh put up 55 points on Kent State. I think the Nittany Lions have a good chance to get past the total by themselves here. The ball can bounce any way and of course Kent State is capable of putting up some points to help, too. Penn State under James Franklin is 12-3 to the over in nonconference games at home when they are favored by 20 points or more; when the spread is 31 points or more, the over is a perfect 6-0. I’ll take the over 55.5.
Pick: Kent State-Penn State OVER 55.5
