Somehow, Week 1 of the NFL season is upon us, which means there are still a precious few days to get those season-long futures wagers in.
I’ll have an in-depth look at Week 1 picks later in the week, along with a post on college football, but this article focuses on NFL over/under bets. I’ve read, listened and watched a variety of sports betting programs over the past few months in order to compile 50 over/under wagers from respected handicappers below. I’d pay attention to teams where a bunch of the handicappers are in alignment (see: New England Patriots UNDER).
One other fun wager to report from an oddsmaker I spoke with this morning: One bettor at BetRivers Sportsbook wagered $161,290 on the Chicago Bears to go OVER 8.5 wins at -162 odds. That’s a lot of faith in rookie QB and No. 1 overall pick Caleb Williams.
