The 2024-25 college football season is officially underway, and it was an underdog-filled Week 0 as ‘dogs went 4-0 against the spread on Saturday. The weekend was headlined by Georgia Tech (+10.5) pulling off a stunner, beating No. 10 Florida State 24-21 outright in Dublin, Ireland. And don’t forget that Nevada (+28) nearly pulled off a massive upset as well, falling 29-24 to SMU in a game in which the Mustangs were down 24-13 in the fourth quarter.

It was a great way to start the season for the sportsbooks, which had a profitable weekend.

“It was a great handle,” Chuck Esposito, sportsbook director at Station Casinos in Las Vegas, texted me on Sunday. “Think everyone is glad football is here. Good outcome with both of the main CFB games having the underdog win or cover in both.”

Other oddsmakers I spoke with echoed that sentiment, with one saying the weekend’s result was, “Very good — the Florida State-Georgia Tech game definitely carried the day.”

I’ll have plenty on Week 1 of the college football season later this week, but there is still time to get some CFB futures wagers in if you’re so inclined.

Having been in the sports betting industry for 15 years, I have a pretty good sense by now of which bettors are good — and which seem to win nightly on X … and make sure they post about it to let you know just how well they’re purportedly doing. There’s so much betting content out there now, but I’ll provide wagers from some of the sharpest guys in the industry here — all in one place.

I’ve gathered over 100 wagers for you to consider in this file, including College Football Playoff bets, Heisman and season win totals.

Enjoy!
