Somehow, this seemingly slow week in July has had a lot of sports betting news — from Drake losing a $300,000 wager on Canada in the Copa America semifinals to Zach Edey becoming the NBA Rookie of the Year favorite after just one Summer League game.

I’ll have a piece for tomorrow interviewing the bettor who wagered $250 on Minnesota Vikings QB Sam Darnold to win MVP at 300-1 odds. What was his reasoning for the bet?
