Best bets, oddsmaker insights for Mavs-Wolves Game 4
Can the Minnesota Timberwolves stay alive and prolong their season?
The Boston Celtics (-7.5) didn’t cover last night against the feisty Indiana Pacers, but they could care less as they earned the right to play in the NBA Finals (and a week of rest) after dispatching Indiana 105-102 on Monday night. The game stayed Under the total of 222.5, which marked the first time in either conference finals that a game stayed Under the total. The Over had been 6-0 entering Monday’s Celtics-Pacers game.
In the West, the situation is dire for the Minnesota Timberwolves. Three games, three losses and three games that the Wolves potentially could’ve — and/or should’ve — won if they executed offensively in crunch time. It’s almost like they’ve never been on this stage before and their best player is 22 years old or something. Alas, they are in the midst of learning an important lesson — and there is no substitute for experience.
The Mavericks (-1.5 or -2) are small favorites in Tuesday night’s Game 4 in Dallas and now are up to a -5000 favorite to win the series. Dallas was a small underdog to Minnesota entering the Western Conference Finals. Can the Wolves keep their season alive?

“It’s been mostly Minnesota money early. Some money on the over as well. Honestly, this series has been getting bet to the under almost every game and with games going over, it has been very good for the house.” — Thomas Gable, sportsbook director at The Borgata in New Jersey
