15 early Week 1 NFL bets to make

NFL Week 1 is here, with the Kansas City Chiefs (-3) opening the season by hosting the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday night. Multiple sportsbooks I spoke with this week have reported two-way action on this one with bets almost split 50-50. The South Point Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas has taken the largest reported wager so far, as one bettor put down $220,000 on the Ravens +3 this summer.

“Really good two-way action, but I’m expecting the bigger bets to roll in on the Chiefs come Thursday,” one Vegas oddsmaker texted me on Tuesday night.

Here’s an early look at the public betting action from Week 1 at BetMGM sportsbooks, along with 15 best bets I’ve compiled from respected handicappers that you may want to look at before lines shift more.
